Changelog

What's new in Crux.

Every update, in plain words. Crux runs in your browser, so each one reaches you the next time you open it.

Brand emails

Your brand's week, in your inbox.

Crux now writes to you: a report every week and every month, and a short alert when something moves.

New

  • A weekly report every Monday and a monthly one on the 1st: how often AI answers named your brand, against your rivals and against the period before.
  • Alerts when your brand is named less, when it moves past a rival, when a rival gains fast, and when answers keep naming a rival you do not track yet.
  • Choose which emails you get for each brand in Brand settings → Emails, or turn one off from the link in any email.

Improved

  • A brand you already track can no longer be added a second time.
  • When a service Crux relies on is down, the app says so, instead of saying something broke on our side.
  • The first page you open loads less code, so it appears sooner.
Teams

Sign in with Google, and bring your team.

Crux is now something a team uses together, and every number explains itself.

New

  • Sign in with Google, alongside email.
  • Invite teammates with a link, see who is in a workspace and what they can do, and switch between workspaces or start a new one.
  • Where to publish: the sites AI answers cite for your questions, and which of them name you.
  • An ⓘ beside a number explains it with your own figures, and a short tour shows a new person around.
New look

Crux looks like the page that introduced it.

The same colours, type and calm as this site, at the density of a tool you use every day. Nothing was removed.

Improved

  • Your profile: change your name or password, and sign out everywhere.
  • Each tab says which screen and brand it shows.
Progress

See a new question being answered.

A question you just added says what is happening to it, instead of sitting empty.

Improved

  • A new question shows whether it is being asked or read.
  • A question Crux cannot ask says why.
Your questions

Pick up where you left off.

More control over which questions each brand follows.

New

  • A brand you started setting up is continued, not started again.
  • Pause a question on a brand, or take it off, without losing its history.
  • Delete a brand's report from its settings.
Answers

Answers from ChatGPT and Google, every day.

Crux asks ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews your buyers' questions every day, and keeps each answer with the sources it cited.
